STRGuestReviews.com is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME TBD], [POSTAL ADDRESS TBD]. The same company also operates STRHostReviews.com, where guests review hosts. The two are run by one operator, but they are separate platforms: no account information, reviews, feedback, contact details, or any other user-provided data is shared between them.
This service is offered to users in the United States only. We do not offer it to, and do not target, people in the European Union or the United Kingdom, and access from those regions is blocked.
From hosts who hold accounts: name, email address, password (stored only as a bcrypt hash, never recoverable), and the content of reviews they write.
About guests, entered by hosts: the guest's name; optionally the guest's email address or phone number; and photographs uploaded to help other hosts identify the same guest.
Automatically: sign-in and activity timestamps, moderation history, and audit records of who changed what and when.
A guest's email address and phone number, when a host supplies them, are never stored in readable form. They are converted to a keyed cryptographic hash using a secret that is not kept in the database, and only that hash is saved. The hash exists for one purpose: recognizing that a new review concerns a guest already on file. It cannot be reversed back to the original address or number, including by us.
What other guests see on screen is a partial mask only — the last four digits of a phone number, or the first two characters of an email address plus its domain. Listing details (platform, URL or ID, and address) are not masked; they identify a public rental listing rather than a private individual.
Reviews and the guest records they attach to are kept for 7 years from the date the review is submitted, then deleted. Account records are kept for as long as the account is open and for 7 years after it is closed. Aggregate counts that contain no personal information may be kept longer.
Reviews are visible to other signed-in hosts on this platform. Beyond that, we do not sell personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not send it to Airbnb, Vrbo, or any other booking platform. We use a third-party email provider to deliver messages such as verification and password-reset emails, and we may disclose information where the law requires it.
If you hold a host account, you can view and correct your own profile information from your account settings, and you can close your account at any time.
If you are a guest who has been reviewed here: you do not have an account on this site, but you can still ask to see what is recorded about you and contest anything inaccurate in it. Go to see and contest your record. You can also write to legal@strguestreviews.invalid. Moderators can hide a review that is false, defamatory, harassing, or otherwise breaks our Terms.
This service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
